You can try reworking the guts, but it slews the air flow readings.
If you want to get anal and go thru the MAF stuff you can get it right, but
it's going to be work.
Running screenless is difficult. I've had to run a large X vane in front of
mine to get the AFR readings stuff to be reliable.
I've played with the LS1s and LT1s mounting them in all sorts of different
ways, and about the best you can get is a slightly different throttle
response, you're not going to find a bunch of HP with foolin with it.
