Building a Flow bench, was: Measuring air flow

Dont know if its any help, but I built a gas turbine out of a N series
Holset Turbocharger while I was in college. The leaf blower idea isnt going
to deliver nearly enough pressure or vacum (its a blower not a compressor).
I tried to use it to spin up the turbine once. And as for driving a
turbocharger I thnk most of us are out of luck since most of the automotive
turbos spin well over 100k rpm and I know of no motors that turn those
speeds and develop enough power to operate a turbocharger. Maybe a large
truck turbo and some gearing to get it up around 40k rpm?? Truthfully I
think a small roots compressor is the way to go.
