[Diy_efi] Gear Drives

[95_HCMS]

Has anyone installed a gear drive in their computer-controlled vehicle?

I was considering doing this upgrade, BUT I started to read warnings about
using a gear drive in an engine with a knock sensor.

Apparently, the gear noise will set off the sensor and the computer will
retard the timing - Is there any truth to this?
