Gm does as much disinformation, as the feds.
They try and make things easy to assimilate (GM not the feds)..
Firing an injector at a closed valve, just doesn't make sense to most
people, when saying the opposite just seems to make *sense*.
  Find someone with a GN, and have them spin the can sensor 180d for you,
and you'll instantly see what happens.

I thought the LS1 V8 did exactly that, fire at an open intake valve?  I
remember seeing drawings (by GM) of the injector spray pattern just going
past the space between valve and valve seat and them touting "injector
targetting" as being key.
