CPU and hardware advice sought for EFI

I have a PIC programmer and have studied the Motorola HC11 from the gm-ecm. Ford uses
an Intel derivative. I like the HC12 for compatability w/ the HC11 code or maybe the
HC16 - steps between the hc11 and '332.  Tom
