best bet for DIY-EFI setup, SOONer than Later

Marc,

As I have indicated in the past on the Yahoo MegaSquirt list, more than
once, is that our immediate focus is to ship out roughly 500 kits to those
who have paid us in the first group purchase. We still have about another 4
- 5 weeks to finish up the group purchase - this is our primary focus,
everything else is secondary, including sorting thru our 200+ emails a day.
In addition, several people have the MS system installed+running, and are
tuning it right now, and we are putting focus on them to make sure they get
up and running and give feedback on problems, etc.- people running cars is
the most important thing! If there are problems with the current hardware,
we want to know this, so that we can correct it on the next board release
(so far, other than a few mods, everything looks good). There are already a
few changes that are going into the new revision of the board (relocate the
MAP sensor, bring out MAP signal to connector, etc) which are going into
the current PCB layout. The layout is in a state of flux, hence the gerbers
are not available right this second in time.

Now, those who are interested in the next group purchase (to start up after
we have shipped out the first GB, right around the middle of April) there
is a web link signup (only for us to email you info - you are not
committing to the group purchase) at
http://www.bgsoflex.com/registernext.html This GB will use the revised
megasquirt PCB. In addition, we are going to allow people to just purchase
the PCB, because many people from the first group purchase have already
purchased the parts and they only want the revised PCB. We will also sell
the whole kit of parts like on the first GB, and we are looking to having
the front/rear panel laser cut to make the kit assembly much easier. Plus,
this combined quantity of PCBs only and the kits added together will drive
the PCB cost even lower.

To repeat: our main focus is sending out the remaining kits from the first
group buy, and to assist those who are hooking up their hardware to engines
and running/tuning them. When we finish shipping out the first GB, then we
will start the second.

- Bruce
