I have JE 6" flat tops in my 406. Just keep the bore square and tight and 
they work w/o problem. The alcohol roundy rounders run the same w/ 15-16/1 -
 really tight clearances and 7500+ rpm. I can get you a good deal on 
reconditioned Dyar's rods if you need them.
