[Diy_efi] Hall-effect sensor for crankshaft question

Hi, 
A little question: is it possible to build a crankshaft toothed wheel sensor 
with a simple hall-effect switch (non differential, in this case an Allegro 
A3121 ) ?.
If yes, ideas?
