You got that right. Warmed up is the key here. Any
time some yahoo puts on an aftermarket exhaust system,
it takes a lot of heat out of the motor. Then they
wonder why it makes noise or takes longer to get the
pistons up to temp. Or better yet, never do at part
throttle with no load.

GM never factored in the better flowing exhaust
systems into the engine design. If I was a dealer and
found that you changed ANYTHING from stock and it now
makes noise, I would show you the front door. I wonder
how many of the noisy motors have an aftermarket
exhaust system???

I'm not saying I'm 100% on GM's side, but there are a
lot of unreasonable thoughts about owning a high hp
motor in something that was designed as a work tool.
You cannot own something like that then expect it to
behave like it was a family sedan.

You want hp, you get noise. You want it to handle like
a sports car, you get a rough ride. There are certain
boundries that are difficult to cross.
