The same is true for other MAP based ECUs, for what I've read, the Renix 
system (from a 4.0L early 90 Jeep Cherokee) does the barometric sensing at 
startup and WOT as they are the only times when the MAP sensor is exposed to 
the whole atmosferic pressure.
