Absolutely good points.  The same is true of any part
of a vehicle, though; you must keep it clean and in
basically good repair.  MAF sensors tend to be very
stable over time, and honestly I would not worry too
much about drift based on age as long as the vehicle
was well-maintained.  Anecdotal evidence seems to bear
that out.
