I just perused EBAY and typed in Tektronix and found no less than 10
oscilloscopes for less than $200, for my money a scope is a little more
forgiving and a bit flexible than a laptop. These days there are a lot of
them around at prices that are affordable... tom

Their offerings have changed a bit in the last year, I can't find
the little one any more, but here's the 4-channel, only US$25 now.
