Justin,
Yeah, I don't think the guy I bought it from was real hard-core tech savy.
He was sharp, but because he could, he paid shops in this area to work on
his car.
I did the Google search on the number, but came up empty.
The Pro-M site says that running with a dirty detector wire in the MAF can
lean the car by as much as 20%.
They don't go into any detail on how to clean it, other than to say use a
pipe cleaner.
Any experience with that?
Joe

Bosch doesn't make a "38"lb injector, only 36s and 42s. I say that in
parenthesis because its all a matter of pressure, some people get confused
with injector terminology because ford fuel systems run at 39psi, but ford
injectors are rated at 42.5psi. The proper way to quote a ford injector (or
one for that application) is at 42.5psi. Lucas makes some 38lb injectors
(at 42.5psi). Try doing a google.com search with that PN.

Hey guys/gals, newbie here!
I've got a problem on my supercharged 97 Mustang GT.
The car is detonating and, in researching the problem, I realize that the
injectors on the car are not what I was told they were by the seller (Bosch
brand, 38# injectors).
Please help if you can. I am looking to determine:
What brand of injector these are
What size injectors these are
Clues:
"38" scribed on the side of each
Numbers stenciled on them:
2267
17105898
I have a closeup shot of one at:

Thanks DIY_EFI!
