[Diy_efi] Fuel Tank Modifications

You'll definitely need either the surge tank or a baffled tank. I have a
setup similar to what Clair describes and suffer fuel starvation under heavy
acceleration at 1/4 tank or less. It will be even worse with autocrossing.
Does anyone have a lead on someone who reworks stock tanks with baffles for
EFI? One list member mentioned Tanks Inc. but don't know if they only do
custom tanks or rework stock tanks. I, for one, would like to keep the stock
tank and not have to rig up a custom cell or tank.

THANKS

Garrett

you will probably need to build a surge tank and plumb the electric fuel
pump from that (a fuel cell available from most speed shops) will work ok, a
bonus is you can use the factory fuel pump to keep the surge tank full .
Another way would be a custom fuel tank from a company like tanks inc. (look
in hot rodding magazines for their address, I don't think the are on the web
yet) with a intank fuel pump great for the "sleeper" look
