Same wheels with a BB core shows a marked increase in spool over std.. on
the GT range of turbos anyway.
The exh wheels on the GTs are very nice.. They almost look like they should
be laggy (well.. They do look like they are laggy)
T beauty of this turbo conversion I did on a customers car is that we
replaced the std T28 (GTiR Sr20) with a Gt25 with a BIG T04S comp wheel and
a smaller exhaust housing (due to more pitch on exh wheel and 1 less blade
and also the backcut design of the wheel)
The car spools very well down low, better than std, BUT the top end is
amazing.
There is no hint of the turbo starting to fall off, even at 7000rpm.
Some will say that this is a mismatched turbo (like the HKS 2540) and won't
work, but its been proved time and time again, BB, big comp and right
choice of exh housing will give results that have to be witnessed to
believe.
