The trans from the Camaro is not electronic, either.  The trans related
signals include the VSS and the TCC.  For retrofits people will usually
try to find an aftermarket electronic speed signal generator that will
install between the trans and the speedometer cable, or will try to
adapt a factory speed sensor from another year and/or model vehicle. 
You can run without a speed signal, but it's better to run with one as
several tables within the calibration are accessed based on speed
signal.

The tcc signal is much easier to work with.  Leave it disconnected.
