[Diy_efi] RB26 GTR stuff

I was drawing more from the experiences of motorex (the guy who used to drag
bigbird is a good friend of my brothers), running first 2540's and then
switching back to 2530's. His opinion was the car was a lot more responsive
with the 2530's, with only a small decrease in peak power.
Personally, i dont run a gtr, but a few members of my family have them, one
has run a (single) t04r in full street trim to 11.3 at 127 on stock bottom end
(20 psi boost) , there are some 2530's here, but not installed on any of the
cars *yet*.
The t04r equipped gtr had more midrange power then a 2540 equipped gtr on
the same type of dyno, as well as peak power being higher at a lower boost
level, they ran the same cams, and the head porting was done by the same
person, the 2540 equipped car was dyno'd on avgas, the t04r car on Mobil
Synergy (advertised 93ron+mon/2), the main differences were the ecu (haltech
e6k on the t04r car, Link on the 2540 car), and the tuner.
The japanese also tend to agree that the 2540 is not an optimal turbo.

2 people actually.
On a standard car, I thought they drove rather well, until I witnessed
2540s. Lag difference is minimal to none, power is VERY different.
If you want a turbo upgrade and that¹s it, then fine.. If you're after 450+
kw at the wheels then look elsewhere.
As to myself running GTRs, I personally don't have one, but installed a set
of GT25s over Xmas on a R32, not to mention suppling parts to Africa for a
600+ hp road car.
How many GTRs do you run, any running 2530s??
