Of course, if the teflon is part of a THERMAL BARRIER,
there should be substantially less heat in the part to
be carried away...  And the piston skirt will still
receive oil on the back side.

I wouldn't be very concerned about using a teflon mix
on the bore of a valve guide, either, since not much
oil passes through there.  I'd not want to use it on
wrist pin bushings, though; not enough oiling on the
rest of the top end of the con rod/wrist pin with
teflon in there, I would think.  I'd like to see
someone test that, though.
