Not really true. The droplets, no matter their size, will ONLY evaporate
until the gaseous phase of the mixture is SATURATED with respect to water
vapor. Then, unless the temp of the gas mixture rises, NO more of them will
evaporate. Once the intake valve is closed, their is more heat (work)
"available" (in the thermodynamic sense of the word) and the mixture will
warm up and more of the water will evaporate.
