[Diy_efi] WI, methanol, and corrosion

How long does this phase change take? you only have 18.46 milliseconds pe=
r cycle
in this example.. The diesel tractor puller with 100 lbs of boost have a =
charge
air temp or at least around 650 to 700 degrees.. I can see where water in=
jector
would make a huge difference there. Also they are going slow relatively s=
peaking
so a air to air inter cooler would be less efficient as well and a water =
to air
would be very large as well as the water tank. The construction of an int=
er
cooler for 100 psi would be very large and very heavy as well so comparin=
g to a
tractor engine I think is missing the mark. I think that the WI has combu=
stion
benefits but find it hard to believe you can process the water fast enoug=
h in
the intake runner to change the air temp by 140 deg F in 18.46 msec to ge=
t you
to the point a normal IC would be..
