I wouldn't think that would make ANY sense on a turbo
car...  Since boost is NOT necessarily a function of
rpm and TPS angle, you can't really know what is going
on.

Is it possible Ford is using a pressure sensor that
has finer gradations of measurement but a
lower-pressure "cap", so that it is better at
detecting smaller fluctuations in boost pressure?  I'm
not sure even THAT makes sense.
