Hardly matters, except at high speeds. They pretty
much all have sufficient plenum nowadays to keep
airbox pressure very close to atmospheric. And of
course, ram-effect airboxes go over atmospheric, as
you know, I am sure.

Can't speak to "Jap car" engines.Never measured the
airbox pressure on those. Are you saying that
Japanese cars have insufficuent plenum to provide for
engine demands? That's some poor engineering there,
if you ask me.

Measured at the plenum? If it's properly designed, it
should barely register. Are you suggesting that car
engines have a completely different set of dynamics
from car engines?
