I friend of mine has been using buk108-50 for saturated
injectors with the gate driven directly from a 5volt cpu.

it has buildin over-current and temperature protection, and
overvoltage clamping at around 50volts so it doesn't need
any external clamping(1)

I haven't checked the datasheet or done the calculations
on how much clamping energy is really dissipated in the
buildin clamp and if it is within spec, but it has been
running for years in a lot of cars with saturated injectors.
for p/h and especially when you start using pwm it'll
problably be worse
