I'm using the serial bootloader from Microchip's Appnotes, and developed a
KDE program to upload/download from the PIC's Flash, in case you're
interested.

Thanks.... I already fried a PIC, so I guess that between this circuit and the
PIC, I'll place a 4n26 for added safety when I playing with it.

Me too. Development is being done with an electronic ignition, but it would be
nice to support points too.
