Do you have trouble codes?  Have you read in the archives about ESC and
how it works?  You should have an ESC module to make sure the ESC line
is driven to "no knock" (+12 or +5).  It may be pulled up inside the ECM
but it's smart to make sure.  You can still potentially get a code 43 if
you don't have a functional knock sensor.

This would be better asked on the gmecm list.
