[Diy_efi] OT: tubular steel/space frame stress calcs

My neighbor is working on a twin engine scirocco. I havn't talked to him in
detail but it looks like he bought a prefab race cage and  welded up his own
rear sub frame. It looks really good. Same concept as yours except instead
of turbos, he's got a big ass nitrous bottle. Not sure why you would want to
beef up the body more than just the old roll cage. A unibody and cage would
be as strong as you make it. Unless your planning on totally fabbing a
composite body that just looks like a VW, I would seam weld the stock body
and order a kit cage.
