[Diy_efi] PCMX users?

Ken,

While I don't doubt Kevin's word, I've never heard of
anyone using PCMX on anything other than a Ford EEC.

Complaints? I feel restricted by some of the
operational requirements such as having to load the
.RDT file first and the .BIN file second. I don't
know why. I also find the context-sensitive menus not
as intuitive as they could be. There's supposed to be
a Hex editor in there somewhere, although I haven't
found it. There are a couple of ways to display Hex,
but no easy way to make large changes. The '+' and
'-' increment or decrememnt values, terrific for most
uses but not all that helpful when making large
changes (i.e. from 0x05 to 0xF0).

Other than the Hex editor, those are all minor.

I've found PCMX to be extremely helpful and it's
become second nature to use.

Are you planning to use a Ford EEC? If so, there are
quite a few Ford owners that may be able to provide
help. Setting up the fueling maps and ignition timing
maps are going to require a lot of time.

HTH,

Jeff Engel
