Many modern cars are run to the very edge of knock as
a general rule.  Two questions come to mind; are you
using the recommended octane fuel?  And is it possible
there is carbon build-up in the cylinder?  You may
also want to check your injectors for deposits and
spray pattern, and check your fuel pressure,
especially on acceleration.  And of course, check for
any intake leaks.
