why not just capacitively (with a capacitor) couple to the DC output.
Theoretically a 3 phase rectifier puts out exactly DC with no ripple, in
the real world there will be a very small amount, but when a diode or
winding goes bad, the AC component will increase noticeably and this
should be easy to detect.
