I'm new to the list, just subscribed. I am working on a new project
now. I bought an 8.1L vortec engine, and I want to put it in my 67
pickup. I think I want to use the MegaSquirt Multiport EFI System kit,
it seems easy to taylor to any application. It controls fuel only, and
I'm needing something to control my timing.
I am looking for an ignition system that will work off a crank trigger
and be a DIS system. The 8.1L has crank and cam sensors, I'm not sure
what the resolution is on the sensors, but I guess I can work that all
out later. If anyone has any ideas on what I can do let me know. I'm
just getting into this.
I previously put a LT1 in my 62 impala, I had a lot of fun, and on the
8.1 I want to do something totally different.
Thanks,
Brendan Patten
