You want to squirt the fuel right in to the back of the valve, if you =
can. However, this is probably impossible for your setup - in which =
case you want to squirt the fuel as far as possible, towards the valve. =
It is probably also a good idea to get as much angle (away from straight =
up & down) as you can, to keep the bulk of the spray pattern in the =
centre of the port cross-section (where the fastest/greatest airflow =
will be) to aid atomisation. If none of this can be satisfactorily =
achieved, try determining where the hottest spot is that you CAN hit, as =
heat will help vaporise the fuel, airflow will do the rest...

Subject: [Diy_efi] Injector angle
Can anybody tell me how to know the correct angle to put fuel =
injectors? I'm converting a ford 427 to port injection by modifying a =
carb intake. There are a few companies around that will convert intakes, =
but the ones I've seen have the injectors straight up and down. This =
doesn't seam optimal to me as I don't ever recall seeing any OE port =
injection setup with the injectors straight like this. I have all the =
tools and time to do this the right way, I'm just not sure how to go =
about it. I can post more information on the engine if needed. Any tips =
or thoughts on this type of conversion would be greatly appreciated as =
well. Thanks.
Dustin
