[Diy_efi] EFI--Manifold types

you've hit the issue right there. I'm running a 383 with Edelbrock's Pro-Flo
system which uses the Victor Jr. manifold. Pretty weak down below but the
motor just doesn't like to spin up to where the Victor Jr. wants to breath.
Seems to me a big dual plane (Performer RPM and the like) would be the
solution but have been getting conflicting information on the tuning effects
of manifold design with EFI. If I'm going to step up to a "real" efi system,
I don't want to hobble it with the wrong manifold.
Thanks for the link--I'll see what they have to say.
BTW--does anyone have any links to suppliers that might have screw in
injector bungs to convert a carb manifold? This would help those of us who
are TIG-challenged.

305 to a 400? You are in for a major torque fest. 8-)
I went from a 350 and 5.13 gears turning 11.90s
to a 400 with 4.10 gears turning 10.90 ETs.
Same hyd Cam, heads and Vic JR intake.
You will love it. Just don't rev it too high,
especially if you use the 400's short rods..
My 400 rarely went much over 5,000 RPM.
My burnout was always right at 4500 RPM in 2nd gear.
It lasted two seasons, then, the guy I sold the car to
broke a cylinder on the burnout his 2nd weekend at the track.
You guessed it. 7500 RPM in the water - game over.
Gawd -I loved that engine. It was like a tractor.
