Hi Jim, and thanks.  

Although I no longer work in digital electronics, that's my  background.  I 
am getting more and more interested in this specialist field  because I am 
restoring a Jaguar Sovereign Series 3 with the V12 engine.  As  soon as the 
bodywork restoration is complete I will start work on the engine  etc.  The program 
is as follows:

1.    Convert to manual 5 speed transmission.

2.    Proper exhaust headers rather than the cast iron  units

3.    throw away the Lucas efi ECU and fit MegaSquirt  with distributorless 
"wasted spark" ignition.

Ambitious huh?
