Maybe the IAC? If the passage is clogged, or the pintle is stuck, or =
the connector bad, etc. then it won't be able to idle. Do you have a =
scan tool?

Hi All,
=20
I have a motor which has a Arizona Speed MPI manifold and a GM MEFI 3 =
computer. This is on a boat. The boat sat for 5 years and gummed =
everything up. I have cleaned everything and now the motor starts and =
runs well above about 1200 rpm's. If I try to run it lower say at idle =
it dies. I hooked a noid light into the harness and the injector signal =
gets dimmer seeming to die. I have changed just about everything =
including the computer from a MEFI 1 to the now MEFI 3. Same symptoms. =
Parts changed include TPS, CTS,MAP, IAC, cleaned and rebuilt injectors =
by Sunrise injector service, new high and low pressure fuel pumps, =
battery cables (as they appeared to by as old as the boat, (1985), the =
module in the distributor. It holds a constant 43 psi when running but =
the pressure rises as the motor dies. This is a 502 chevy 420 hp with =
42 hours on the motor. Got any ideas? Also the TPS kills the motor =
whenever it is connected, this is new with the new computer.
