I went to my local staples and found a usb to serial converter used for =
pda's it was about $20.00 and works great. any office supply store =
should carry a similar device.

I can research it a little. It has ACC MT609-2 stamped on it. =20
It works great with the RT-TUNER and the romulator. I'm not sure =
how it would work with DataMaster.

I purchased a new IBM T41 laptop. This machine does not come with =
DB9-RS232 ports.

In order to run TunerCat-RT with the Romulator, I need a RS-232 =
conector.

Also I use DataMaster to connect to the ALDL connector, again with =
an RS-232 DB9 connector.

I have tried the Belkin F5U103 USB to Serial DB9 converter. I =
works sometimes, but causes continual BLUE-SCREENS-OF-DEATH under =
Windows XP.

I also have tried the new StarTech PCMCIA 2-port serial card. This =
card would work with some old legacy serial devices, but not the =
Romulator.

Has anyone got a suggestion for this problem? How about the =
QUATECH DSP-100?
