lean misfires exist. put an ignition scope on and engine and lean out a  
single of bank or all cylinders and watch the in cylinder impedence drive up  
firing voltage to the point where it arcs out through the wire or back to the  
cap. yes it happens yes I've observed it yes I know what it looks like  when I 
see and yes it is observable. the guy in the article makes a few  sound 
arguments. but there not all good ones.
