No idea if this is any help, but came accross this E Machine Shop

Give VariCAD a shot as well=2E I've been using it off and on for the
past 3 years, though not for EFI-related things=2E  Exceedingly
negative spare time=2E

3D modelling is fairly intuitive=2E Interference checks, volumes, mass
and basic calculation such as for fasteners and beams are built in=2E
Though the latter could be better integrated=2E

VariCAD's big advantage is that it runs on Linux (as well as the
unspoken thing)=2E
