In your first reply, I believe you're talking about a
regular narrow-band O2 sensor.  A WBO2 can measure
fairly accurately far outside of lambda=1 for
gasoline.

In your second, you're just plain off.  An O2 sensor
records partial pressure of oxygen in the exhaust,
nothing to do with unburned fuel at all...
