Thanks for your replies reguarging O2 sensor.
I asked the question because we have the equipment to check injection pumps 
off the engine and calibrate to give correct fuelling , but on the vehicle 
its a different story and can only rely on egt /boost pressure and eye 
balling smoke emission .not very scientific.
