A better question would be, why try to un-engineer a
system designed for a v motor, when it would take
almost no effort to adapt a system designed for an
inline four-cylinder, which has the same timings from
cylinder to cylinder for spark and fuel (although the
firing order may or may not be the same, that's a
trivial thing to work around)?
