[Diy_efi] 7148 baud

If you need to use the serial interfaces, hopefully you can find a small dedicated device that would provide the capability of bridging between the two speeds. If this sort of thing comes up very often, I imagine someone in the business of conversions (or supplying components to) has already produced such a device.

I am personally familiar with compact PIC processor based devices set up for analog to digital signal conversion - where the "digital" output from the device is on a serial port. It wouldn't be a very big leap from something like this, to a device with two serial ports that could act as a "speed translator".

However, if someone hasn't already put that together, it would be a substantial project to produce it.

Roger, I just swapped a 3800SC from a grand prix... grand prixs use analog guages, your using an older motor, so you will need to get the voltage off the alt and also get a beretta sender... about the tach, there should be a tach output on the pcm....

I am building a 3800 turbo Fiero and wanting to install a digital cluster from a Beretta but can't seem to get the Temp, Tach or Volt meters to work it seems they use the serial data from the Ecm to operate them. The problem is I am using is the 1227148 from the 87 Buick GN with a 160 baud and the Beretta uses a 16198262 which has a 8192 is their a way to trick the cluster into using the 160 baud

    Thank you
