[Diy_efi] Smallblock Chevy - Jeep question

If all you want is low end power and simplicity then I
would go with a TBI setup out of the scrapyard. The
TBI is the simplest, builds plenty of low end power
and is going to be the most affordable. Im not sure if
there are many TBI intakes that bolt up to a standard
small block head, since most of them were produced
after '87. Post '87 small block heads have the 4 inner
bolts angled outward for easier access. If you decide
to go that route then you may want to pick up a set of
heads that go with the TBI intake. Honestly you may be
better off picking up a complete TBI 305 since it will
probably cost about the same as buying the efi setup
and heads, and there are a lot more parts available
for the 305 vs. a 307. You can always go with a TPI
setup, but these days anyone who has one for sale
wants a fortune for it. Hope this helps,
Phil
