I have experience with tunnel hammering. Did quite a bit on the S-10 V8
conversion, with a 1 lb carpenters hammer. I now have a 3 lb sledge,
and so have graduated from "novice" to "journeyman" swapper. (at least,
according to the JTR S-10 V8 swap manual). But the Blazer needed
hammering in only a few spots. This tunnel is going to need lots more
all over, it seems.

I'm using the "G-Force" crossmember which may well place the rear of the
trans higher than stock. It was pricey, but after I saw it I had to
have it.

It's the big box behind the throttle body that says Vortec. The inlet
itself only clears the hood by 1/4", so the box is way too big.
