for about $20 at an auto parts store you can get fuel connector ends that have a pigtail about 18" long...

If astehtics aren't a problem, just get the other half off a junkyard car, make a splice somewhere on the tube and double-clamp a piece of flexible fuel hose over it (make sure to remove all the burrs first) so that the stock flared piece fits on the fuel rail, and the new piece with a quick connect (junkyard or otherwise) is still intact allowing you to not have to change fitting types.
What's the specific stock application?

That page is derived from a longer post that is in the archives, from
Shannen Durphey. You might be able to find it in the search engine, and
it might have more information. If there's anyone here who works at a
dealer and could take pictures of some of those parts that would be very
useful.

How about getting the matching fuel line from the junkyard and cutting
it?
