[Diy_efi] Big Caddy

I've thought about the old cadillac portinjection. The engine I got came
with an edelbrock performer intake on it which is a much better design to
start with. Haven't checked yet to see if the injectors can be aimed
correctly using that intake. Was thinking about a small block chevy TBI
unit minus injectors, since I have the original from the 4.3L that came in
the caprice the caddy is going in.
Really don't have much money for this project since I went back to school.
What really got me looking into it is the price of a megasquirt, cheap, and
the car originally was fuel injected so the tank has the correct sending
unit and I should be able to reuse a lot of the engine wiring.
Still need to read more about the megasquirt, but really sounds like a good
piece. Assuming you don't screw it up putting it together. For those that
haven't looked at them before, essentially you get a bag of parts that has
to be soldered together.
btw, I nearly got a 472. It was installed in a bus (motor home project that
got as far as bolting an engine in), back in the woods and sunk in the mud.
