hi, find the idle mix screw , screw it in till it just starts to die down in revs.
then from that point, unscrew the screw, (i usually do it in half turns ) till it starts to pick up in revs.
then stop turning till it wont pick up in revs no more......

simple !!

It's funny, my dad has a 262 slant six in one of his trucks.. asked me to do a tune on the carb. I have no friggin clue how to do that. Yet i've done all kinds of EFI stuff, gone as far as making my own crank triggers by modifying junkyard parts, etc etc. yet... i couldn't tell you how to tune a carbeurator. It's quite interesting. I guess i'm just part of that 'new generation' that understands fuel injection as a whole, but all that 'analogue' technology still baffles me.

I'd be the one who'd actually build and use the 555 timer IC type fuel injection on my weedwhacker before i'd actually figure out how to fix the stupid carbeurator on it.
