Hi Ian. If it wont budge with a bearing puller, you could try
a nut splitter, or a good whack with a coal chisel with the race
on a hard surface in a way where it can't roll. Watch out for
shattering pieces. If you have access to a lathe and an air 
driven
grinder, grind it down to within a few mm of the shaft, and it
will fall into pieces.

I used to do similar tricks to shafts out of diesel pumps that 
had
been run dry,(don't ask) they hadn't gotten that hot though.
