ODB died in November of 2004.  He was 35.  As far as we know, there was 
no ODB 2, or ODB Jr.

OBD - II was federally mandated for the 1996 model year.  GM made some 
vehicles in 95 with an OBD-II style connector but with OBD-I 
diagnostics, and some with limited-compliance OBD-II diagnostics.  I've 
run into that last kind (OBD 1.5?) in 4.3 VIN W (Vortec) S-10s a couple 
of times.  Before I got the update for my scanner, back in the day, we 
had to send them to the dealer for computer problems.

According to my Mitchell On-Demand, the 94 GA 2.3 had a regular 12-pin 
ALDL and OBD-I.  ECM pin D12 (ORG/BLK) should go to pin M of the ALDL.  
Pin B of the ALDL looks to not be populated.  A is ground, L is for the 
airbag module serial bus, and M is also shared with the EBCM (anti-lock 
brain box.)
