Thanks to all for the ideas.  I do most of my own vehicle repairs.  Most of my experience is mechanical, with only very basic electrical troubleshooting.  So there is going to be a pretty large learning curve.  I'll get the service manual for my Cutlass, do some more research and learn more about the systems.  I will keep you posted when progress begins.
As far as the system, I think I'm still open for other options.  It's just these seem to be very plentiful in the junkyards right now (go figure:).  Unlike the rest of the car, the ignition and fuel delivery have given me little or no truoble with 198k+ miles and 16 years on this car.
