I have use a kit made by TCI for 8 years in my 55 Chevy with out any
problems. Kit is a little expensive. I modified the 700r in my 77 GMC
Sprint by changing the 4th gear solenoid to a normal open and wire it to
key on power for 5 years with no problems.
